Winter in Yellowstone
First trip to Yellowstone in the winter. A magical yet equally brutal milieu this time of year. It has become one of my absolute favorite places in the world.
I now have a general better understanding and deep sense of empathy for what the animals must go through, and the hardiness of some of the folks that endure these winters. The theme that continued to come out in my photos were one of austere beauty, the white blanket tones and the enduring spirit and resilience of the animals. I hope you 'feel' these elements in the photos I've shared. To have zero crowds and experience these wonders of wilderness gives you a really intense appreciation for this place. So, I'm going to let my photos do the speaking here...because no amount of poetic prose adequately suffices.
