My mom posted a photo of me taking photos at a random pit-stop to let the dogs run in Missouri at Graham Cave State Park. We had the entire park to ourselves. I love these hidden gems. While perhaps not "grand" or "famous," you can find beauty everywhere. You simply have to truly slow down and connect. It's my favorite part about photography. It's intentional, it fine tunes my senses, it challenges me to find beauty in the 'mundane.' It amazes me how much we fly by through the world and don't take the time to pause, observe and feel what's around us. It's medicine for the soul. Oh, and spending quality time with mom and watching the dogs run wild makes these moments all the more special and memorable.
