Heron Takes Flight

he decisive moment. Heron takes flight. Once again, I stumbled upon another gem, the Arcadia Marsh Nature Preserve at sunrise. I watched this heron patiently for a solid hour being considerate of its space as it hunted in the shallow waters. I was able to get within 20 feet or so and just sit and watch. Then he took flight showing off its incredible beauty. That decisive moment...freezing a second in time to reveal incredible beauty. A wonderful way to start the day and energize the soul.
