Morning Chores
Morning chores from the kitchen tent as Fernando readies the hot water, rice cooks on the stove and the sun descends down from the summits to greet the day in Sahouna Valley. in the Cordillera Blanca. It's a simple routine. You get up, you take care of chores, assist in cooking and prep work. pack up camp, load up the burros, walk all day among splendid terrain, arrive and setup camp...prepare food again, take in the sunset and fabulous night sky and quickly fall fast asleep not long after the sun dips below the horizon. In touch with your circadian rhythm. No cell phones, no emails, no idea what is going on in the outside world. Healthy, happy, present.
