Be Curious. Be Compassionate
Impermanence
Autumn’s wind hastily swoops in as the colorful Aspens sway back and forth in synchronized rhythm.
The crisp blue sky succumbs to the encroaching rain clouds. The temperature plummets as the mood transforms.
Leaves release their fragile grip as they sail south to the forest floor.
Floating among the crisp waves of air.
A delicate annual dance of nature.
Carpeting the ground in warming tones before fading into the earth’s soil.
Sleeping. Knowing their job is done. Leaving a legacy of vibrant splendor and an opportunities for new growth.
A changing of the guard.
Shorter sunlight hours with each passing day.
An opportunity to reset and look inside.
Through the darkness, we find light.
Acknowledging our shadows.
The trees recently festooned in lucid green grandeur at once stand stark and naked.
A note left by nature inviting us humans to embrace our vulnerabilities.
Oftentimes letting things go.
Remembering impermanence defines life.
We’ll all end up together again on the forest floor.
In our short time, we can live as vibrantly as the leaves and float with grace, strength and humility
